ACTIVITY COURSE MANAGER

Schools Out Activities is seeking motivated and skilled individuals to step into the vital role of Activity Course Manager. This position is central to the successful operation of our camps, where we provide a vibrant, safe, and inclusive environment for children aged 4-16 to learn, play, and thrive.
As a Course Manager, you will take on a leadership role, overseeing the day-to-day running of your course. Choose between Early Explorers, Creative Crew or Adrenaline Adventure ensuring the smooth delivery of our diverse range of activities. From organising schedules and leading a team of dedicated staff to maintaining high standards of health and safety, your efforts will help create memorable experiences for the children in our care.

PAY
We use a QR Code clock-in and clock-out system so you get paid to the second you are on site until you depart home, rewarding punctuality. Camp Managers are our top paid members of staff as you take on the most responsibility whilst at camp.
As of April 2025 the pay rate will be £12.30 per hour plus accumulating holiday entitlement (package worth £14 per hour). Works out to around £142 per day / £710 per week.
WORKING TIMES
In a normal 5-day week, you will work from Monday–Friday. For weeks containing Bank Holidays we operate a 4-day week.
Times: 8:20am – 5:05pm everyday.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential:
- Organisational skills.
- Experience in using mobile phones and answering phone calls, writing texts and emails.
- Enthusiastic, confident and able to work on own initiative.
- Good team worker.
- Ability to manage and delegate to a team.
- Able to communicate well with children, parents/guardians and members of staff.
- Experience of working in a non-discriminatory manner and a good understanding of and commitment to Equal Opportunities.
- Willingness to attend relevant training.
- A clear understanding of, and ability to implement and work within the National Standards for Childcare.
Desirable:
- At least 1 year of Administrative Assistant experience.
- Paediatric First Aid qualification (2-day course)
- Level 2 Safeguarding
- Management Experience
- KS3 Secondary School experience
