Located in the heart of Chelmsford, this well-established grammar school provides exceptional facilities in a secure and welcoming environment—perfect for our happy campers! With easy access from the A12 and nearby parking, drop-off and collection are hassle-free, making King Edward VI Grammar School the top choice for school holiday childcare in Chelmsford.
From roller racers and archery to cookery, dance, and creative arts, there’s something for every child to enjoy. Our holiday camps cater to ages 4-16 and run throughout the school holidays.

Camp Location
📍 School’s Out Activities – Chelmsford is based at the King Edward VI Grammar School.
We currently do not have use of the school car park for drop off and collection as this is too small to cope. Thus if driving to the venue we recommend using the carpark on the B1008 called Rectory Lane West. It is 50pence for 30minutes parking time. From there it is a swift walk across the road and into the pedestrian gate entrance of the school. Follow School’s Out directional signs to find the Sportshall entrance.

I have used many different holiday camps over the years and can honestly say that School’s Out Activities stands head and shoulders above all the others.
The enthusiasm of the leadership team is second to none. I love the fact that the teenagers are able to progress to being young leaders which is such an amazing developmental opportunity.
The range of activities is outstanding and to be able to put on the amazing end of week performance week after week is incredible.
